So lets get this straight. You’re a fan of professional wrestling. You’ve known that since you began taking your vitamins, saying your prayers, and have been able to make “Wrestling” your first word in your vocabulary. You bought all your magazines, figures, and foam hats, watched every Monday night and even begged for that pay-per-view on Sunday. You’re older now and thought to yourself, “How do I get into this?”

I’ll tell you.

You go to school.

Specifically OUR School: The Kayfabe Dojo.

The Dojo’s facility is spacious and provides everything one would need to succeed in this business. The road to become a professional wrestler isn’t something that comes to someone overnight. Far from it. Hard work, dedication, sacrifice, and a lot of heart are needed to make it. Mondays through Thursdays NWA NY’s Kayfabe Dojo holds training sessions led by Head Trainers Hellcat and  Gabreal Saint .

NWA NY is home of such independent wrestling stars as Hellcat, Chip Stetson, Brodie Lee, Gabreal Saint, Ring of Honor’s Dunn and Marcos, The Outkast Killas, and Cheech and Cloudy, Dewey, and even former WWE Superstar: Colin Delaney You will be in the ring with the best local talent and some of the best talent in the world. This is your oppertunity to learn from some of the best in the business!

Training Sessions
New trainiee’s will start by learning the basics:

  • Learning to fall properly
  • Running the ropes
  • Locking up
  • Posture

As you progress in training you will begin to tackle other aspects of wrestling such as:

  • Take downs
  • Submissions
  • High flying moves

The more important aspects of wrestling aren’t even the moves, throughout training you will learn:

  • Ring psychology
  • Skill and speed training
  • Charisma and character development

There will even be occassional training seminars with an outside star that’s coming in for a show. These are open to anyone regardless of the skill level.
When the NWA NY officials think you are ready you will receive a spot on a live NWA NY show. The NWA NY officials will give you an unbiased report on your strengths, weaknesses, potential, and where you need to improve.
Although classes run 4 days a week, it is not necessary to attend every training session. The more you train, the quicker you learn and the faster you get your first match. The more you’re around it, the more you’ll take in, the better you’ll be, the better you’ll do in your very first match!
